The mission of the Rotary Wing Model Aircraft Association is to provide lifelong learning and support to pilots of all forms of model rotary wing aircraft.  Education and training is the primary mission of this association helping pilots advance from early beginnings to experts in a variety of disciplines.  Also, we will support events, do periodic manufacturer spotlights, and review new products.   Technologies as well as evolving trends will be honestly researched and presented in easy to understand terms for our membership.  RWMAA will also be your voice within AMA.  We will provide guidance in club chartering, site acquisition and materials to promote your cause with local governmental agencies.  This mission will provide our membership an ever increasing presence in the AMA community as well as foster a positive and safe learning experience for the RC Rotary Wing enthusiast.

As the newly elected president of this organization, I'd like to take a moment to share my thoughts and aspirations of what we are, what we intend to do, and most importantly what it will mean to you. We aspire to be by the modeler and for the modeler, not just a disconnected voice. The entire board of directors has been and will remain loyal to the hobby. We all have been directly involved in providing assistance to modelers independently, now we are pooling our resources, strengths and talents into one repository. We desire to help the average modeler, the professionals already KNOW what they are doing, we are here to help retain, educate, and provide assistance to the new entrants into the hobby, and at the same time to provide a means of stewardship to intermediate and accomplished modelers. We want your collective voices to be heard, and will strive to fill your needs, both as a collective and individuals.
