The mission of the Rotary Wing Model Aircraft Association is to provide lifelong learning and support to pilots of all forms of model rotary wing aircraft. Education and training is the primary mission of this association helping pilots advance from early beginnings to experts in a variety of disciplines. Also, we will support events, do periodic manufacturer spotlights, and review new products. Technologies as well as evolving trends will be honestly researched and presented in easy to understand terms for our membership. RWMAA will also be your voice within AMA. We will provide guidance in club chartering, site acquisition and materials to promote your cause with local governmental agencies. This mission will provide our membership an ever increasing presence in the AMA community as well as foster a positive and safe learning experience for the RC Rotary Wing enthusiast. |

We have worked hard and long to bring you this organization. We appreciate you visiting, and sincerely hope you will find reason to join us in our quest to be the best, strongest, and most respected SIG in the history of the AMA. Jan 1st, 2009 marks a couple milestones for the r/c hobby community. Firstly, we are officially open. Second, we offer representation for two unrecognized disciplines, autogyros and tiltrotors. This is a very large step forward for these aspects of the hobby, both having previously been unsupported. We are unpretentious average folks trying to change the outlook of others on our beloved discipline. Egos should be left at the door. We are not in competition with the help forums. Please leave any attitudes or personal feelings behind. Our concept does not support bickering or arguement. Your membership dues avail you to participate in sections not seen by the guests, and to have a say in how RWMAA, Inc. represents you. Your membership also includes promotional support for your events by providing a banner and leaflets to post at the field, local hobby shops, and other venues that may aid to promote our hobby. Here's to great things coming in '09! |

As the newly elected president of this organization, I'd like to take a moment to share my thoughts and aspirations of what we are, what we intend to do, and most importantly what it will mean to you. We aspire to be by the modeler and for the modeler, not just a disconnected voice. The entire board of directors has been and will remain loyal to the hobby. We all have been directly involved in providing assistance to modelers independently, now we are pooling our resources, strengths and talents into one repository. We desire to help the average modeler, the professionals already KNOW what they are doing, we are here to help retain, educate, and provide assistance to the new entrants into the hobby, and at the same time to provide a means of stewardship to intermediate and accomplished modelers. We want your collective voices to be heard, and will strive to fill your needs, both as a collective and individuals. |

Article of Incorporation and non profit status application have been filed. December 8th 2008
We the board of directors are extremely proud to announce that we are well on the way to being a legal entity and have begun the process of serving the modelers we represent. We are currently working on several groundbreaking projects to assure that the newcomers to the hobby have a better than average chance at being successful in the hobby. |
